This group of artists and photographers have been showing their art in the Oceanside area since the late 1990s. This show will represent 10 very talented artists and photographers. Members of this group have won ribbons, awards, best of show, awards of excellence, and have received worldwide recognition.
“Black is Hot ~ White is Cool” – Photography by Craig Carmichael of Island Exposures Gallery
Every photograph taken by Craig Carmichael tells a story. His stunning images and innovative shots never cease to captivate. For this show, Craig promises an exciting display of his photography which will be “Something completely different than what I would normally display at my own gallery.”
“Aboriginal Masks” – presented by Artists Tim Paul and Patrick Amos
An eclectic collection of Native Art carvings and prints that includes the work of artists Tim Paul and Patrick Amos, who both apprenticed at the Royal BC Museum.
Tim Paul: Throughout his career, Tim has honoured traditional guidelines for making pieces that would represent the Nuu-chah-nulth people around the world. In 2010, Tim was awarded the “British Columbia Creative Achievement Award for First Nations’ Art.”
Patrick Amos: Patrick's work has been steadily shown in many galleries throughout BC, and the Royal British Columbia Museum in Victoria, BC has several of Patrick’s paintings and prints in their permanent collection. Patrick is a versatile and experienced artist whose contemporary pieces carry the traditional Nuu-chah-nulth distinction while maintaining simplicity.
