Beginner's Wild Edible MUSHROOMS Workshop
Develop skills to find and identify a dozen edible mushrooms, like chanterelle, hedgehog, oyster, shaggy mane, morel, cauliflower, lobster and others. Gather around a fire for a "show and tell" of easy-to-identify edible mushrooms and their look-alikes, then stroll about the forest to look for specimens in their habitat. This is not a mushroom foray where we collect mushrooms to take home, but rather an opportunity to learn the skills to forage with confidence for your own wild edibles.
This 3.5h workshop is offered Nov.2 OR Nov.3 from 1-4:30pm at Englishman River west of Parksville. Ability to walk on uneven, ungroomed trails is required.
Cost is $45 per person. Advance registration and payment required to reserve your spot. Workshop is limited to 15 people. Register at www.jessicawolf.ca
