Wild Edible PLANTS & MUSHROOMS Workshop
While touring a beautiful forest in near the Englishman River near Parksville BC, discover a selection of edible wild plants and mushrooms in their natural habitat. Learn to find wild berries, teas, and greens, and recognize them in their fall attire. Get acquainted with the many uses of common trees - as food, medicine, and hosts for edible mushrooms. Discover wild mushrooms along the walk and familiarize yourself with a few choice edibles, like chanterelles, hedgehogs, lobster and more. Sample wild teas and mushroom soup broth.
This 3.5h workshop is offered Oct.19th OR Oct.20th from 1-4:30pm at Englishman River, west of Parksville. Ability to walk on rough un-groomed trails is required.
